UFC Fight Night: Blanchfield vs. Barber Preview

The UFC returns to Las Vegas this weekend for a top-five women’s flyweight main event at the Apex. In the co-main event, Ludovit Klein aims for a top-10 spot in the lightweight division against No. 7-ranked Mateusz Gamrot. Overall, it’s a solid card with some underrated matchups.

Main Event: Erin Blanchfield (13-2-0) vs. Maycee Barber (14-2-0)

No. 4-ranked Erin Blanchfield comes off a decision win over Rose Namajunas. At only 26 years old, Blanchfield has made waves in the UFC, with her sole loss against Manon Fiorot, who recently challenged for the belt. She faces No. 5-ranked Maycee Barber, who, at 27, has also only lost to the division’s elite. Barber is known for her relentless pace and will need to pressure Blanchfield to secure a win, while Blanchfield’s ground game gives her the edge if the fight hits the mat. This will be a tough night for both women, with potential title implications for the winner.

Co-Main Event: Mateusz Gamrot (24-3-0, 1NC) vs. Ludovit Klein (23-4-1)

No. 7-ranked Gamrot faces unranked Slovakian Ludovit Klein. Klein rides a six-fight win streak, aiming for a major leap into the top 10. Gamrot is well-rounded but excels as an elite grappler. Klein, a dangerous striker and strong in the clinch, faces a tough test and will need to bring his A-game.

Main Card: Billy Ray Goff (9-3-0) vs. Ramiz Brahimaj (11-5-0)

Contender Series alum Billy Ray Goff takes on Ramiz Brahimaj, who stepped in on short notice after Brahimaj’s original opponent withdrew. This is a classic grappler vs. striker matchup.

Main Card: Dustin Jacoby (20-9-1) vs. Bruno Lopes (14-1-0)

Dustin Jacoby and Bruno Lopes clash in this light heavyweight matchup. Another Contender Series winner, Bruno Lopes made his official UFC debut in January and now faces veteran Dustin Jacoby.

Main Card: Ketlen Vieira (14-4-0) vs. Macy Chiasson (11-3-0)

Another top-five women’s matchup, this time in the bantamweight division. Depending on how the title picture unfolds, the winner could be next in line for a shot.

Main Card: Zachary Reese (8-2-0) vs. Dusko Todorovic (12-5-0)

After a first-round loss, Zachary Reese looks to rebound against Dusko Todorovic, who is also coming off a defeat. Both men are eager to make a statement.
