Tonight, UFC 288 goes down and here at ATF, we’re going to give our predictions on the main and co-main event. Aljamain Sterling vs Henry Cejudo and Gilbert Burns vs Belal Muhammad.
Aljamain Sterling vs Henry Cejudo
Angus: Sterling - I think Henry is overlooking Aljo, he’s been talking about that Featherweight title, I don’t think the layoff is going to benefit him. Give me the Funk Master!
JK: Cejudo - For me, Cejudo has more ways to win and he has a strong enough mindset to get the job done. Sterling has embraced the champion role, and it suits him. I want Sterling to win but I think it will be Triple C’s night.
Ash: Cejudo - I am going with Cejudo, I’m looking past the cringe to make this pick. He has a championship mindset he will have the perfect game plan and win to get the job done.
Si: Cejudo - Henry has a champions’ mindset and he’s coming back to reclaim that belt!
Taylor: Cejudo - I think Cejudo’s experience in the big fights will be enough for him to win tonight.
Gilbert Burns vs Belal Muhammad
Angus: Burns - Burns has really adopted the BMF role recently, Belal can’t lay and pray to a decision and Gilbert’s stand-up is superior.
JK: Burns - Belal vs Burns is a super tough one to call. I think Belal can use his wrestling and avoid the submission threat on the ground, but I’m going to go Burns via TKO.
Ash: Burns - I think Gilbert is on another level he is just on a run of good form right now I see a KO finish for Burns.
Si: Muhammad - I always go against Belal and he wins so I have to go with him this time!
Taylor: Burns - Gilbert is better all around and I think he gets the win.
